He looked at it and felt nothing.
The image sitting in front of him could have very well been a blank canvas
since no "oooh's" or "aweee's" were provoked in him. Still, he bought it!
He took it home and covered it in clear plastic, he placed it on the floor, way in the back of his attic.
By the next day, the painting was already forgotten.
It sat there in the dark and dusty corner on the floor for months and months.
"Why did you buy it in the first place if you really didn't like it?",
his new bride asked when she discovered it buried under a heavy sheet of webs two years later.
"Oh, I did it as a favor. You see, the painter is a very well-known painter and very good friend of mine."
She looked at him confused and walked away.
